Voltaire ne fait pas partie du sérail, des circuits préférentiels de l’univers électro : c’est un artiste qui s’est construit par la passion, après que la musique électronique lui soit tombée dessus un peu par hasard. Originaire d’une région loin des circuits préférentiels du monde électro, il a cultivé ses prédispositions en autarcie. Très rapidement, le musicien va mettre à profit sa formation dans les métiers de l’audiovisuel (où il officiait en tant que preneur de son et mixeur pour le cinéma, la pub et la haute couture) pour élever à un degré élevé d’exigence la qualité artistique et technique de ses productions.

Son approche musicale perfectionniste, Voltaire la met au service d’un éclectisme riche en émotions, inspiré par des réminiscences issues des signatures historiques de la musique électronique, des pionniers de Detroit aux décennies glorieuses de l’électro des années 2000 et 2010. Entre nostalgie et recherche de nouvelles formes pour une électro actuelle qui doit impérativement concilier efficacité et inspiration : «j’aime toutes les facettes de la musique électronique et je veux rester ouvert à toutes les influences. Cette approche me permet aussi de ne pas formater ma musique».

Aujourd’hui Voltaire est un artiste régulier de Cod3 QR : il a remixé le Tales from the Real World issu du dernier album de Laurent Garnier, a bénéficié de plusieurs sorties en vinyle et digital et a intégré le line-up de plusieurs événements avec le parrain de la techno française, avec lequel une relation de fidélité et de confiance s’est solidement établie. Ses prochaines sorties parachèvent cette première séquence et en ouvrent une nouvelle : avec ses puissantes réminiscences techno, house et électro 2000 et 2010, Voltaire s’affirme comme le newcomer à suivre d’une techno frenchy en plein renouveau.

Voltaire doesn’t belong to the serail, the preferential circuits of the electro universe: he’s an artist who built his career through passion, after electronic music fell into his lap somewhat by chance. Coming from a region far from the preferred circuits of the electro world, he cultivated his predispositions in autarky. Very quickly, the musician took advantage of his training in the audiovisual industry (where he worked as a sound recordist and mixer for cinema, advertising and haute couture) to raise the artistic and technical quality of his productions to a very high level.

Voltaire uses his perfectionist approach to music to create a richly emotional eclecticism, inspired by reminiscences of the historical signatures of electronic music, from the pioneers of Detroit to the glorious electro decades of the 2000s and 2010s. Passionnée de Post-Punk et de Cold Wave, elle a rapidement développé une forte appétence pour l’Electronic Body Music (EBM), qu’elle entend défendre sur la scène électronique. Depuis ses débuts en 2022, Minor Player a eu l’opportunité de jouer à Paris, Barcelone et Berlin, aux côtés de figures clefs de la scène EBM, Indus et Cold Wave, telles qu’Alpha Sect, Umwelt, Mind/Matter, Headless Horseman, Sarin, Unhuman, Kas Product ou encore Rue Oberkampf. Reconnue pour ses sets gorgés de sonorités froides et métalliques, mais également très entraînantes, Minor Player aime explorer les profondeurs de l’ère post-industrielle, afin de créer une atmosphère à la fois intense et dystopique à chacune de ses performance.

Validé par la scène française, il a foulé les plus belles scènes de l’Hexagone tel que Astropolis, Château perché festival, Dream Nation,La station Gare des mines, Macadam … Il rejoint également en tant que résident les collectifs Kluster et Newtrack. Un univers sombre et poétique à découvrir sur scène.

FR: ZPKF fait partie de cette génération pionnière qui s’est prise en pleine gueule la venue de la techno en France à la fin des années 80. Raver radical au début des années 90, DJ sillonnant les teufs naissantes, apprenti producteur puis animateur partageant sa passion sur une radio locale, ZPKF élargit peu à peu son spectre musical le faisant passer d’une base hardcore/acid à des sonorités plus techno. Ressentant le besoin d’aller plus loin et d’éclater les limites qui le séparent d’une entière liberté de composition, il s’initie alors à la clinique fine du bidouillage des machines, un art complexe et délicat dans lequel à force de try and learn, il acquiert un solide savoir-faire. Après avoir travaillé dans les studio de Motorbass et fondé Torb avec son ami Julien Naudin, ZPKF poursuite sa carrière en solo pour se consacrer à une Techno profonde, essentielle, imprévisible, sans fioriture, apte à libérer les esprits de leur pesanteur et à les transporter dans cet état si particulier qu’est la transe psychique. ZPKF a signé sur différents labels comme Volphonie, Dosis, Suara, Duat ou Walking Records et continue son œuvre de stakhanoviste des machines sur Line Out Radio.

EN: ZPKF is part of this pioneer generation who took in the face the arrival of techno in France at the end of the 80s. Radical raver at the beginning of the 90s, DJ criss-crossing the emerging parties, apprentice producer then host sharing his passion on a local radio, ZPKF widened little by little his musical spectrum making him pass from a hardcore/acid base to more techno sounds. Feeling the need to go further and to break the limits that separated him from a complete freedom of composition, he initiated himself to the fine clinic of machine tinkering, a complex and delicate art in which by dint of try and learn, he acquires a solid machine-builder know-how. After having worked in Motorbass studios and founded Torb with his friend Julien Naudin, ZPKF pursues his solo career to devote himself to a deep, essential, unpredictable, unadorned Techno, to free the spirits from their heaviness and to transport them in this so particular state that is the psychic trance. ZPKF has signed on different labels such as Volphonie, Dosis, Suara, Duat or Walking Records and continues his work as a machine stakhanovist on Line Out Radio.

Gannein, né en France et aujourd’hui basé à Berlin, s’est imposé au sein de la nouvelle garde de la techno, captivant le public avec un son à la fois élégamment raffiné et viscéralement immersif. Chaque performance transcende l’éphémère et laisse une trace distincte et mémorable. Les paysages sonores novateurs de Gannein redéfinissent les frontières du genre, témoignant de l’énergie brute qui coule sous la surface. FR: Pionnier de la scène électronique française, Chris Honorat fait ses premières armes sur l’antenne de Radio FG en 1992 sous le nom de l’Exorciste. Il accompagne ainsi les week-ends des toutes premières générations de ravers. Il est signé en 1995 sur FCom sous le nom de Chaotik Ramses. Il participe activement aux côtés de Fabrice Gadeau à l’organisation des soirées D-Mention et des mythiques soirées Autom@tik du Rex Club dont il est le résident, et qui sont une référence en France et en Europe par leur longévité et leur qualité inégalée. Après huit ans de résidence au RexClub et de nombreuses soirées dans le monde, Chris part s’installer dans le Pacifique sud, mixe à Tahiti, en Nouvelle Zélande et en Nouvelle Calédonie, et découvre des sonorités tribales à la source. De retour en métropole, Chris Honorat se produit alors sous son véritable nom. Ses productions sortent sur différents labels dont A-traction, Metrohm, KMS Records ou Get Physical. 2017 marque un tournant dans la carrière de Chris avec le lancement du label Volphonie, prônant une techno sombre et hypnotique. En parallèle, Chris rejoint aujourd’hui Line Out Radio pour proposer une résidence très personnelle, s’éloignant un peu du continent Techno pour voguer sur des horizons plus variés, downtempo, electronica, voire psychédéliques, et proposer des selectas d’une très grande exigence. Sa musique est à la fois sulfureuse, dark et disco, inspirée par la synth pop de Human League, la disco de Gorgio Moroder et la new wave de New Order, entre autres.

EN: Jabba 2.3 hails from Rennes, France where he’s been deejaying for over two decades. He is one of the resident DJs of the “Moon” indie parties and the Rennes “Made.festival”. His inspirations are : New Order, Giorgio Moroder, Patrick Cowley and Human League.
