EN: AGP explores the depths of electronic music in all its forms. From blues and jazz to house music, passing by dub techno and minimal. Initially sensitive to soul with influences such as Sun Orchestra, Masters At Work or Glenn Underground, AGP then discovered the work of Studio 1 or Moritz Von Oswald, as well as some dark pieces of Omar S. The contrast installed allows a negotiation between the explicit emotion of the instrumentations of Nuyorican Soul and the abysses of repetitive tools, where the soul of House and the energy of Techno mingle. AGP has been signing since 2014 on labels such as Lossless, Moodmusic, Get Physical, Loot, Dance Artifakts, Azzur or even recently Goldmin and CB90. Since 2020, he focuses on his more minimalist project, “Redrop“, and on Lessenorg.net.

FR: Révélé sur Cod3 QR, le label de Laurent Garnier, le producteur français aspire à devenir une figure qui compte dans le renouveau de la musique électronique française. Voltaire ne fait pas partie du sérail, des circuits préférentiels de l’univers électro : c’est un artiste qui s’est construit par la passion, après que la musique électronique lui soit tombée dessus un peu par hasard. Originaire d’une région loin des circuits préférentiels du monde électro, il a cultivé ses prédispositions en autarcie. Très rapidement, le musicien va mettre à profit sa formation dans les métiers de l’audiovisuel (où il officiait en tant que preneur de son et mixeur pour le cinéma, la pub et la haute couture) pour élever à un degré élevé d’exigence la qualité artistique et technique de ses productions.

Son approche musicale perfectionniste, Voltaire la met au service d’un éclectisme riche en émotions, inspiré par des réminiscences issues des signatures historiques de la musique électronique, des pionniers de Detroit aux décennies glorieuses de l’électro des années 2000 et 2010. Entre nostalgie et recherche de nouvelles formes pour une électro actuelle qui doit impérativement concilier efficacité et inspiration : «j’aime toutes les facettes de la musique électronique et je veux rester ouvert à toutes les influences. Cette approche me permet aussi de ne pas formater ma musique».

Aujourd’hui Voltaire est un artiste régulier de Cod3 QR : il a remixé le Tales from the Real World issu du dernier album de Laurent Garnier, a bénéficié de plusieurs sorties en vinyle et digital et a intégré le line-up de plusieurs événements avec le parrain de la techno française, avec lequel une relation de fidélité et de confiance s’est solidement établie. Ses prochaines sorties parachèvent cette première séquence et en ouvrent une nouvelle : avec ses puissantes réminiscences techno, house et électro 2000 et 2010, Voltaire s’affirme comme le newcomer à suivre d’une techno frenchy en plein renouveau.

EN: Revealed on Cod3 QR, the label of Laurent Garnier, the French producer aims to become a key figure in the renewal of French electronic music. Voltaire doesn’t belong to the serail, the preferential circuits of the electro universe: he’s an artist who built his career through passion, after electronic music fell into his lap somewhat by chance. Coming from a region far from the preferred circuits of the electro world, he cultivated his predispositions in autarky. Very quickly, the musician took advantage of his training in the audiovisual industry (where he worked as a sound recordist and mixer for cinema, advertising and haute couture) to raise the artistic and technical quality of his productions to a very high level.

Voltaire uses his perfectionist approach to music to create a richly emotional eclecticism, inspired by reminiscences of the historical signatures of electronic music, from the pioneers of Detroit to the glorious electro decades of the 2000s and 2010s. Between nostalgia and the search for new forms of contemporary electro, which must reconcile efficiency and inspiration: ‘I love all facets of electronic music and I want to remain open to all influences. This approach also allows me to avoid formatting my music’.

Today Voltaire is a Cod3 QR regular: he has remixed Tales from the Real World from Laurent Garnier’s latest album, had several vinyl and digital releases and has been in the line-up of several events with the godfather of French techno, with whom a relationship of loyalty and trust has been firmly established. His forthcoming releases complete this first sequence and open up a new one: with his powerful reminiscences of techno, house and electro from 2000 and 2010, Voltaire has established himself as the newcomer to watch on a Frenchy techno in a full renewal.

FR: Marie Le Berre, aka Minor Player, est une DJ basée à Paris, résidente de Line Out Radio, ainsi que du collectif Ghost Night, fondé par le label Ghost to Host, aux côtés de Substencia et d’Ezekiel Gauthier. Passionnée de Post-Punk et de Cold Wave, elle a rapidement développé une forte appétence pour l’Electronic Body Music (EBM), qu’elle entend défendre sur la scène électronique. Depuis ses débuts en 2022, Minor Player a eu l’opportunité de jouer à Paris, Barcelone et Berlin, aux côtés de figures clefs de la scène EBM, Indus et Cold Wave, telles qu’Alpha Sect, Umwelt, Mind/Matter, Headless Horseman, Sarin, Unhuman, Kas Product ou encore Rue Oberkampf. Reconnue pour ses sets gorgés de sonorités froides et métalliques, mais également très entraînantes, Minor Player aime explorer les profondeurs de l’ère post-industrielle, afin de créer une atmosphère à la fois intense et dystopique à chacune de ses performance.

FR: Fanzine Project est un label, une école et une agence de booking gérés par des artistes et des professeurs, basés à La Corogne, en Galice, Espagne : Roi, Pablo et Lefrenk. Deux objectifs guident leur destin depuis 2008 : favoriser la sensibilisation, l’expansion et l’accessibilité de la musique électronique dans leur ville, et encourager une scène culturelle d’avant-garde à travers différents projets et approches. Leur obsession est de générer un écosystème culturel autochtone avec des racines locales et une portée mondiale. Cet écosystème comprend leur plateforme la plus organique, Fanzine Records, pour la production de multiples événements qui culminent avec le FanzineFest, ainsi que leur Fanzine School en tant que plateforme d’enseignement pour former des talents.

FanzineFest, leur célébration annuelle, est un festival basé sur les racines audiovisuelles. Ils travaillent depuis 2015 pour consolider et promouvoir le festival comme un événement incontournable des rythmes et des arts visuels d’avant-garde du nord-ouest de l’Espagne. Ils cherchent à établir de nouvelles méthodes de communication avec un public de tous âges, dans le but de renforcer la relation entre la culture électronique et la ville de La Corogne. Pour cela, ils s’associent à des collaborateurs et des fournisseurs directement liés à la ville, afin de continuer à soutenir son entreprise et sa culture, de La Corogne au monde !

Fanzine School est un produit né du besoin de disposer d’un espace collaboratif à partir duquel, avec la musique comme fil conducteur, ils pourraient s’épanouir, partager connaissances et expériences. Cette école est un espace pour les fans de musique électronique, quel que soit leur niveau : un centre où les connaissances se partagent et où les gens s’engagent pour développer des talents et de véritables synergies. Fanzine School est le noyau à partir duquel une scène peut grandir, à travers des cours de production musicale, des cours de DJ, des services de mixage et de mastering, des conseils artistiques et techniques…

EN: Fanzine Project is a record label, a school and a booking agency run by artists and teachers, based in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain : Roi, Pablo and Lefrenk. Two goals have been guiding their destiny since 2008 : to promote awareness, expansion and accessibility of electronic music in their city, and to encourage an avant-garde cultural scene through different projects and approaches. Their obsession is to generate a native cultural ecosystem with local roots and global reach. This ecosystem includes their most organic platform, Fanzine Records, to the production of multiple events that culminate in the FanzineFest, as well as their Fanzine School as a teaching platform to seed talent.

FanzineFest, their annual celebration, is a festival based on audiovisual roots. They’ve been working since 2015 to consolidate and promote the festival as an essential event for avant-garde rythms and visual arts in Northwest Spain. They seek to establish new methods of communication with public of all ages, with the goal to strengthen the relationship between electronic culture and the city of A Coruña. To this end, they join collaborators and suppliers who are directly linked to the city, in order to continue supporting its business and culture, from A Coruña to the world !

Fanzine School is a product stemming from the need to have a collaborative space from where, with music as the common thread, they could flouish, sharing knwoledge and experiences. This school is a space for electronic music fans, regardless of their level : a centre where knowledge is shared and where people are committed to developing talents and genuine synergies. Fanzine School is the nucleus from where a scene can be grown from the bottom upwards, through musical production classes, DJ lessons, mixing and mastering services, artistic and technical consultancy…

FR: Derrière les platines depuis 2018, Scarlet a écumé les clubs parisiens auprès d’artistes tels qu’Aloka, De Grandi, Reptant ou encore DJ Mel G. Chercheuse des grooves énergisants pour inviter nos corps dans une danse libératrice, ses sets oscillent entre techno, bass et breaks. Après un premier EP auto-produit en 2020, elle compte quelques releases à son actif sur des labels tels que La Forge, Chineurs de House, ou Mycelium Shroom Syndicate. Chaque mois sur Line Out, Scarlet propose un set représentant musicalement un des septs chakras énergétiques qui ont chacun leur symbolique. Sa façon à elle de connecter musique et énergies, de proposer une musique faite de vibrations spirituelles, alliant régénération intérieure et communion sur le dancefloor. Et Scarlet reçoit aussi aussi des invité.e.s dans le cadre de sa résidence. Son mantra : broken beats and bass euphoria !

Seeking energizing grooves to invite our bodies into a liberating dance, her sets oscillate between techno, bass and breaks. After a first self-produced EP in 2020, she has a few releases to her credit on labels such as La Forge, Chineurs de House, or Mycelium Shroom Syndicate. Every month on Line Out, Scarlet offers a set musically representing one of the seven energy chakras which each have their own symbolism. Her way of connecting music and energies, of offering music made of spiritual vibrations, combining inner regeneration and communion on the dancefloor. And Scarlet also receives guests as part of her residency. Her mantra: broken beats and bass euphoria!
